Geokguk is the structural pattern of a Four Pillars chart. Per Zi Ping Zhen Quan, the primary stem of the month branch determines one of the 8 standard patterns.

How many patterns exist?

How is the pattern judged?

Primary stem of the month branch → Ten-Gods relationship to Day Master → pattern candidate. If a secondary or residual stem of the month branch is also revealed in the heavenly stems, a variant pattern applies.
